MINUTES OF COUNCIL MEETING HELD 4^th February 2009

Apologies for absence were received from Cllrs J W-Jones, C Gough, D Evans and N James.

130. VACANCY – CHIRK SOUTH WARD.

The Clerk informed the Council that two applications had been received with regard to the vacancy from Miss Sarah M Jones and Mr Sean Dineen, both applicants being eligible in accordance with terms of office.

The Council interviewed each applicant with the Chairman and members asking questions.

After the interviews the Council gave further consideration to each applicant and following a ballot

Mr Dineen was elected to fill the casual vacancy for the Chirk South Ward.
