MINUTES OF COUNCIL MEETING HELD 16th January 2008

Apologies

Apologies for absence were received from Mr R Jones, Mr F Hemmings, Mr N James and

Mr Dewi Evans.

The Chairman and Members expressed condolences to Cllr Hemmings on the recent death of his brother-in-law.

100. ESTIMATES OF EXPENDITURE.

The Clerk pointed out that the tax base for the Council this coming year had been increased to 1659.

The Clerk provided information sheets (addendum 1 and 2) on expenditure for last year, this year and with estimates for next financial year.  These were discussed with the Clerk explaining the various items included. 

After considering matters the Council agreed to accept the estimates as included by the Clerk.

This would make a nett total estimated expenditure amount of £104,437 for the financial year 2007/08.

101. PRECEPT.

Following the decision made for the Councils expenditure for the coming financial year including the need to provide funds for future renovations to the Parish Hall and recreation equipment it was decided to precept an amount of £84,609.00 for the coming financial year.  This would represent a possible £51.00 Community Charge for band D properties.
